Dunki is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film based on an Illegal immigration technique named "Donkey flight". It is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Boman Irani.[1]

Dunki was first rumored in 2020; the screenplay was reportedly completed in August 2021, and principal photography began a month later and lasted, with interruptions, until April 2023. Filming took place in Mumbai, Kashmir, London, Budapest, Jeddah and Neom; it is the first film to shoot in Neom. Dunki was first announced in April 2022, by Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios, and casting was completed by that October. The film is Hirani's fourth collaboration with cintematographer C. K. Muraleedharan, after Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), and PK (2014). The soundtrack was composed by Pritam.

Dunki is set to be theatrically released first in overseas territories on December 21, 2023, and in India a day later.[2][3][4]
